Guidelines

If you are visiting Hospital San Javier, please be aware of the following guidelines:

• Atendiendo a las recomendaciones sanitarias no se permite el ingreso de flores dentro de las instalaciones.
• Showing respect to patients we beg you not to make noise.
• It is strictly forbidden to smoke in any Hospital area.
• It is strictly forbidden to bring any type of food and/or beverages into the hospital.
• Ordered by the health authorities and to protect children from possible infections, it is strictly forbidden to bring children 12 years or less into the Hospitalization areas; they may only stay in the waiting areas across from the cash office and admission office; provided, however, that they behave properly under the supervision of an adult.

Visiting Hours

Visiting hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Only 2 persons are allowed per room, but they may be restricted in accordance with a patient’s medical condition or the institution’s provisions.

At the Intensive Therapy Unit and Coronary Unit, visiting hours are from 12:00 to 13:00 hours and then from 18:00 to 19:00 hours.

At the Neonatal Therapy Unit, visiting hours are from 10:30 to 11:30 hours and then from 16:30 to 17:30 hours.

Hospital San Javier Puerto Vallarta

1.- You must register at the information module each time you enter the hospital and accept the policies and provisions established by the hospital.

2.- Patient visiting hours are as follows:

• In-patients: 09:00 to 21:00 hrs.
• Intensive Care: 11:00 to 13:00 hrs. / 17:00 to 19:00 hrs.
• Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care: 11:00 to 13:00 hrs. / 17:00 to 19:00 hrs.
• If you have an infection, you are requested to refrain from visiting.
• Children must be supervised at all times during your visit to the hospital.
• Any special circumstances during a visit must be discussed with the Medical Coordinator, Nurse or Physician on Duty.

3.- During your stay in the room:

• No more than two visitors are allowed per patient.
• Only one person may stay overnight.
• A family member responsible is requested to be with the patient during his/her stay.

4.- By stipulation of the Secretariat of Health children less than 12 years of age are not allowed in the Hospital area.
5.- For a patient’s comfort and prompt recovery it is important that you remain silent in every area in the Hospital.
6.- In the event any piece of furniture or hospital property is damaged, you must pay for the replacement or repair thereof as provided by the management office.
7.- By stipulation of the Secretariat of Health, you are not allowed to smoke in the Hospital facilities.
8.- The Hospital is not liable for any of patient’s belongings or those of his/her accompanying persons; you must put them in the safe box or deposit them at the admissions area.

Hospital San Javier Riviera de Nayarit
